This November, you will have the opportunity to ban a state property tax – for good. Voting YES on Amendment 2 will protect you from double taxation after already paying property taxes at the local level.

Tennessee has one of the lowest tax burdens in the nation. Letting Tennesseans keep their hard-earned money is part of our identity.

For more than 75 years, Tennessee has balanced its budget in a responsible way without a state property tax.

Tennesseans should never fear that their homes, farms, and businesses could be double taxed, first by their local government, then again by their state government.
